I am breaking the silence on a not uncommon hardship suffered by employees of The City of Seattle.
- Delays and harassment (hostile workplace) in accepting and implementing reasonable disability workplace accommodations under Title I of the American's with Disabilities Act
- Requiring employees to use Family Medical Leave instead of work schedule accommodations under ADA Title I
- Lack of immediate affirmative adoption of parts of accommodations that do not require a deliberative process
- Abusing the deliberative process as an act of retaliation, discrimination, and/or harassment
- Requiring medical information violating ADA Title I, including physicals (written questionnaires or in-person) unrelated to the disability or the accommodation
